Switzerland’s Minister of Justice and Police has responded to a critique of the Anti-Counterfeit Trade Agreement sent by the Berne Declaration and Alliance Sud last year.  The Swiss response discusses ACTA and medicines (noting that the agreement will not address the problem of substandard drugs), border measures, and transparency.

Patrick Durisch from Berne Declaration has provided an unofficial English Translation of the Swiss government’s response.  He has also made available the original letter from Swiss Ministry of Justice and Policy (in French).  Also see the document to which the Swiss government is responding: Analyse critique de l’Accord commercial anti-contrefaçon.
