We have all been following the evolution of COVID 19, which has now been characterized as global pandemic by the World Health Organization. The safety of our participants and the health of our communities must be our highest priority, as we assess how to move forward with the Global Congress.
We are hopeful that by the time of the Global Congress in August, the threat will have receded. But we understand that many participants need to start making plans very soon, including for the organizing and events and meetings at the Congress. Accordingly, we are actively assessing our options with the conference venue and other vendors we have already contracted with.
Among those options we are considering postponing the Congress to a later date, using the venue for a smaller regional meeting, and moving parts of the Congress to an online platform.
We will report back on these options very soon.
