The Industrial Association of Pharmaceutical Laboratories (Asociacion industrial de Laboratorios Farmacéuticos (Asilfa)) have written the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs asking for access to the technological and economic studies that justify entering the treaty.
The association says “The secrecy with which the Executive has carried out the negotiations of the TPP is inadequate when they could be negotiating away people’s rights. It is concerning if in these negotiations they are exchanging access to medicines of our population, for commercial advantages that currently remain in the dark.”
